Sonny is a version of the Kewpie or QP; a character created by American artist Rose O'Neill. Kewpie 1909 began as a comic strip and became an immensely popular doll. The first Sonny Angel was an 18cm (7”) wide-eyed doll introduced in March 2005. Soon after, a mini figure series was released, the “Animal Series 1” wearing animal headgear. By the way, Sonny Angel’s birthday is May 15th, 2004.
