Winnie Yippie
Singaporean artist Winnie Yip (b.1993), a visual artist, illustrator, and toy designer under the alias of WINNIEYIPPIE. She is the creator behind this kawaii but angry, moody yet determined character name Bubble Butt Girl (BBG) 生气宝宝/ 小屁孩
Her works explore concepts relating to self-identity, vulnerability, relationships, and feelings. The artist often considers the character an image of herself trying to come to terms with the idea of coming of age.
Winnie completed her diploma at Nanyang Academy of Fine arts in 2016 (Fine arts, Oil painting) and she just completed her studies at 3d Sense Media (Toy design and production). Her works have been exhibited in Mulan Gallery (2016, Singapore), Art Blovk POP UP Gallery (2019, Singapore), UltraSuperNew gallery (2020) as well as concluded her solo exhibition at Canvas Creative Space (2017, Singapore)
